HSI CHIPPISON SPRING TOUR 2010
12/02/2010 A PHOTO call was held on Friday 12th February to launch the HSI Chippison Spring Tour 2010. Previously known as the ‘HSI Guidam Spring Tour’, 2010 sees new sponsors John and Marie Burke coming on board with Horse Sport Ireland and the Showjumpers Club. Thoroughbred Remedies, Darragh Equestrian Solutions, Comfort Zone, Jaguar Saddles and Showjumping Ireland will support the Tour.
The Tour will run at 13 venues, starting off in Ravensdale, Co. Louth, on 21st February and finishing in Coilog Eventing, Co. Kildare, on 18th April. Running as a 1m30(S) Mini Grand Prix league, the HSI Chippison Spring Tour will also be used for selection for the Junior and Young Rider European Championship. In addition, 1m20 classes run in conjunction with the Tour will be used as part of the selection process for the European Championships for Children on Horses.
Horse Sport Ireland, in addition to their sponsorship, will provide a prize fund of €1,000 for the highest placed Irish Sport Horse in the league. €500 will be awarded to the breeder of that horse and €500 to the owner. The Showjumpers Club will award €2,000 to the overall winner of the league and €750 to the runner up.
There will also be an opportunity to win a hand-crafted Jaguar Saddle by Harry Dabbs, which will be fully fitted for both horse and rider and will be raffled on the final date of the Tour.
