Kildare International Autumn Grand Prix Show
The exciting new venue, Kildare International Equestrian Centre hosts the final leg of the Botanica/ShowjumpingIreland Autumn Grand Prix League on December 6th.

The Rathmore venue has held several RDS Qualifiers for the Riding Club over their 3 years of business so far, and held a very successful Grand Prix Show in June where Edward Doyle landed the spoils in a very exciting competition.

Following the class, Doyle showed his impression of the venue by saying; ‘’ ’For their first show it went very well.  It is a smashing arena to ride in and there will be plenty more good days in this venue. ’’

Run by the Gaffney family, the centre was officially opened in June 2006 and has blossomed over the years to become the centre it is today.  Boasting the country’s largest indoor arena, Kildare International also has a very large outdoor with Derby facilities and a large grass arena with great footing.

However for December 6th, the focus will be on the Indoor arena when it plays host to the Final leg of the Botanica/ShowjumpingIreland Autumn Grand Prix with a €3,000 prize fund.  This is a momentous occasion for the Gaffney clan as they embark on another new era in their centre’s history.

Sunday’s Soho Boutique Grand Prix is sure to be an exciting finish to the league.  The decider between Trevor Breen and Conor Swail is sure to be an exciting encounter with both set to give their all for the €3,000 prize for the League winner sponsored by ShowjumpingIreland and Botanica.

The Grand Prix has been kindly sponsored by Soho Boutique in the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge and with the Annual Show Jumpers Ball just one week later on the 12th December, there may be no need to look any further for that perfect dress.  Next Sunday, Soho will be handing leaflets for a 30% discount in the store when you can produce the flyer.

The youngest of the Gaffney’s, Bernice, commented on the show: ‘’This is set to be a wonderful occasion for us and the centre.  It is great that we have been entrusted with such a prestigious class.  Our facilities are second to none and I have no doubt that the riders on the day will think the same.’’

A full programme of events will surround the Grand Prix with the 90cm and 1m classes taking place in the fabulous Outdoor arena.  Meanwhile, inside the day kicks off with the €250 1.10m class, there is €300 up for grabs in the 1.20m and €500 for 1.30m which takes place just before the Grand Prix.

The family would like to thank all those who are supporting the Show; Soho Boutique Newbridge Mcdonalds Naas and Newbridge, MDY Construction, Pegus Horse Feeds, Equine Shiatsu Ireland and Winterdown Pony Club.
